Graduation Ceremony for Molloy University December Nursing School Graduates

Graduation Ceremony for Molloy University December Nursing School Graduates

The Issue

After struggling through four difficult years of nursing school, the students graduating in December heading on to start their careers do not get a graduation ceremony, yet still have to go through the process of applying for graduation, taking the NCLEX (Nursing licensure exam), and moving on to the work force.  If desired, they would be able to walk in graduation in May, however, many students and their families live far from campus, move away to start their dream job, or are unable to attend due to employment contracts and financial burdens.  Starting your career in December but not being able to celebrate the graduation until May causes many students to no longer want to even attend such a big milestone in their life.  If approved, a graduation ceremony would celebrate the students for achieving their bachelors degree and beginning their careers.  Many other schools in the area and New York State in general offer December graduation ceremonies for their students, however, Molloy University does not causing such a big milestone to feel like just another day.  Please join us in celebrating the hard work of many students as the first class to graduate from Molloy University (formerly Molloy College)!
