We are the students of M.pharm from a government college. On December 2022 AICTE discontinued Stipend for GPAT qualified students However UGC on September 2023 displayed a notice regarding the GPAT stipend on their official webpage.
Regarding this I called UGC helpline number where I came to know that UGC will provide GPAT stipend to only those who have qualified GPAT before March 31st 2023.
Also I was told that those who have qualified GPAT after 31st March will be given scholarship that is merged with NSP (National Scholarship Portal) However scholarship portal is not yet open  whereas the last date shown there is 31st December 2023.
While talking with other universities department students we came to know that their procedure for stipend is started and they have received their respective student IDs and passwords through UGC Also their status is close to approval and their stipend might be disbursed within one month.
As we inquired in our College regarding the Stipend we got no response as there were no official guidelines or directions from UGC that were directed to University or our institution. As many of us belong to Middle class families with weak economical background, this stoppage in Stipend will make us continuing our education difficult.
