Allow Thameslink services to serve Erith and Belvedere Stations
The Issue
Bexley Riverside is one of the biggest opportunity areas within the whole of London, and with many new development, it need better transport. Currently, the only mode of rail transport in the area is operated by Southeastern which ends at many of the Central London termini. By introducing Thameslink to these stations, it makes sure that the London Borough of Bexley, which has no Tube, DLR, Tram or Overground services, get more services linking it to more of the capital as well as to Hertfordshire.
Allowing Thameslink services would also benefit commuters who use the North Kent Line to get to work or school of they miss their Southeastern service, not only bringing in more trains per hour but providing a more comfortable journey.
