Warren G Murray Developmental Center has been a home to persons with developmental disabilities for over 40 years. Under Governor Pat Quinn's budget for FY 2013, Murray Center will be closed. This action will ultimately displace 275 residents and make jobless approximately 550 people in the Centralia area.

Stop this shortsighted displacement of Murray Center's residents, and stop the forced unemployment of 550 people in a four-county area where unemployment already averages 9.05% (http://lmi.ides.state.il.us/rank.htm)
