The Commonwealth of Virginia, especially in Northern Virginia, is amidst a rapid outbreak of COVID-19. It is evident that the number of people inflicted is increasing at a rapid rate. This can be determined irrespective of insufficient testing in Virginia.

The Governor has made passive pleas for folks to stay at home. His request is ineffective. He states that making a request versus issuing a lock down order is a matter of semantics.  If he believes this, then he is at best naive and at worst out of touch. He needs to lock down the state for two weeks and then reassess. 

As this highly contagious virus spreads, Virginians are at risk. It's a balance between keeping the economy active and public health. Hopefully, thousands, especially in Northern Virginia, will not succumb to passive action by our Governor, so that fast food restaurants can keep their drive thru's open.

PLEASE TAKE A STAND NOW BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE. DEMAND THAT THE GOVERNOR TAKE ACTION TO LOCK DOWN VIRGINIA FOR TWO WEEKS TO SAVE LIVES. PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION FOR THE GREATER PUBLIC GOOD. HOPEFULLY, THIS STATE WILL AVOID THE NEED FOR MAKE SHIFT MORGUES AS PICTURED IN NEW YORK.
