The system is broken & needs to be changed. All officers should have mandatory 6 months of mental health and cultural training and 1 officer has to take a special additional class to be trained as a police ally, and every cop car is mandated to have a police ally, (they have a separate badge, etc)...then when POC are pulled over they can be assured by 1st: seeing the designated police officers ally badge & 2nd: know that they have a police ally trained to deescalate and protect them.
