I’m starting one of these because “Mayor Elicker”  is being biased & unjust to the restaurant industry of New Haven.

Elicker is trying to pressure the governor to have restaurants not have indoor seating while Walmart, religious centers, & large retail areas are not being monitored or scrutinized. While these “big box” locations have larger sq ft, they also have a much higher volume of customers in a longer period of time. While restaurants have a shorter period of time, less customer foot traffic, & constant health department & task force members diligently patrolling & monitoring our industry which is a death sentence to not only locally owned businesses but to the thousands of families & individuals who rely on this industry. 
Although Elicker may be a “Yalie” he is not from New Haven & does not know how much of this city’s culture comes from the industry. 
This virus is no joke & we are in a difficult spot as a country as a whole.
However, it is unfair & unjust to demonize one specific industry while retail giants & religious organizations with a larger contingency are left relatively unscathed.
