Missouri had a helmet law in place for 20 years and the law was recently repealed. This law was put in place for the safety of the rider and the statistics back up why the law should still be in place. 82% of Americans are in favor of state laws requiring all motorcyclists to wear helmets. Making sure riders understand that their personal decision to wear a helmet doesn’t just affect them. If involved in an accident it will affect their family members as well as every person on the scene of the accident. Knowing if a helmet was worn the fatality could have been prevented. Putting this law back into place is the best thing for the safety of everyone involved!
