Pardon the 'Polar Vortex' school days!

The 'Polar Vortex' (January 29-January 31, 2019) in Iowa broke 20 year old records! Businesses, schools, colleges and universities across the state of Iowa closed to ensure the safety of their employees, customers, staff and students! The United States Postal Service even shut down services on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 across two full states (Iowa and Minnesota) and parts of Wisconsin and Illinois to protect their employees!

The 'Polar Vortex' brought extreme cold to the Midwest which resulted in at least 21 deaths, according to CNBC. The US Weather Service warned of entering the cold weather unless absolutely necessary due to the increased risk for frostbite in mere minutes and possible death. Schools did the logical and humanitarian thing by cancelling school and calling district closures--not doing so would have been negligent.

I ask that you sign this petition so Governor Kim Reynolds will follow Minnesota and Wisconsin Governors and pardon these 3 days of school cancellations. My concern is if these days are not pardoned, future district leaders could possibly make poor decisions with school closures which could result in more injuries and/or fatalities.
