This act will help those who are previously convicted of a crime find shelter. Too many times those who have made a mistake, (drug charges, traffic law(s) violations, theft, etc) are denied, or have trouble finding a place to call home, which can and will prevent them from improving from the past they come from. The convicted person(s) that have completed their time, and are clean from any convictions for more than 1year(s) (after release) should not be denied a home which includes (but is not limited to) apartment living, and rental homes/trailers. These would have the exceptions of crimes that involve sex offenders, murder, or any type domestic violence, (but there should be an option to appeal the denial due to these crimes, and upon assessment a decision will be made then). People who have been previously convicted of a crime are human and should be treated as such. Taking away the opportunity to find housing that is safe, clean, and help make a fresh start, will only lead someone to going back to where they started.
