The Utah State Health Department has created a mandate for all school-age students to wear masks in schools.  This makes learning difficult.  Children (especially small children) cannot see their teacher's facial expressions, cannot distinguish sound/movement when learning to read, and are forced to comply with an order that many parents (and even children themselves) disagree with.  Communication can be difficult enough at that age without the added obstruction on their faces.  But ultimately, the governor is the boss over the state health department and they must comply with his office.  

A petition may not change anything but we can let the state know about the amount of disagreement regarding a mask mandate (and the accompanying punishments for lack of compliance) in our schools.  If you believe that we live in a democratic society rather than a dictatorship and would like your voice heard please consider adding your name to this list.  It will be sent to the governor's office, the office of the state health board, the board of education, our legislators, and anyone else with power to influence reversal of this mandate. 

Please also consider sharing on social media with like-minded groups who might be in support of reversing this order.  We can't forget that we are ruled by the people  and so the people must make their voice heard.  If you're in support of a well-rounded, socially healthy education for your children please consider signing.  Thank you.
