Governor DeSantis: Call a Special Session to Secure Florida Elections
The Issue
After the fact investigation of election fraud has proven ineffective. Prevention beforehand is the only sure approach.
Recent Florida bills (SB7050/HB7067) have failed to adequately address election integrity. In fact, they have made elections less secure and less transparent, and made it more difficult for anyone to challenge results.
The citizens of Florida want secure, honest and transparent elections. To that end, current legislation must be amended.
While not a complete list, the following key areas must be addressed:
- Citizen ID that ensures only American citizens can vote
- Vote by mail limits and proper ID for voter registration and vote by mail
- Hand counts of ballots must be allowed/Machine mandates eliminated
- Citizen access to complete election data except personally identifiable information
We the People urge Governor DeSantis to call a special session to amend the current election legislation.
