KEEP FORSYTH COUNTY FAMILIES SAFE ON POST ROAD

0 have signed. Let’s get to 15,000!

*Early morning Monday, August 12th, 2019, 16 year old  Zoe Ordway a High School student at West Forsyth High School was on her way to Cross Country practice.  She attempted to drive through the intersection of Bentley Rd and Post Rd but as a result of poor visibility and a poorly designed state intersection; Zoe was involved in a horrific crash which resulted in her being extracted out of her car and taken to the hospital.

She has been in critical condition with multiple broken bones...femur, sternum, hip socket and a broken pelvis which will leave her without having natural childbirth someday as a result of the pins she will eventually have across her pelvis.  She has already gone through hours of surgery; all within 24 hours of the awful accident.

To make matters worse, moments after the impact, her father was driving to work and witnessed EVERY PARENT'S NIGHTMARE...his only child, mangled in her barely recognizable car.

She has a long road ahead of her and in the meantime, we need to help the only way we can.  Please help us prevent another accident that could possibly be much more tragic.

DID YOU KNOW?

  • Forsyth county has had a population increase of 53% with ongoing new developments and no infrastructure to hold said population.
  • **The expected final construction date for the Post Rd expansion is 2028.**  We cannot allow continues accidents affect our families quality of life.
  • We have children and young driver headed to their schools within 1.5 miles of Post Rd and Bentley Rd - In either direction.
  • Six years ago, the county Commissioner requested a traffic light or round about on said intersection and it was DENIED by the GDOT.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!!
