Jason Cook started this petition to Governor Bill Lee

Whereas, the Vice President and Congress of the United States have demonstrated their cowardice, dishonesty, and corruption by accepting as genuine and valid the electoral votes of six States (Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin) whose elections were obviously rife with fraud and corruption, thereby refusing to protect the honesty and integrity of Federal elections, and in so doing, have demonstrated their inability and unwillingness to uphold, defend, and protect the Constitution in accordance with their oaths of office; and

Whereas, the Congress has clearly demonstrated its disdain and hatred for the people of the United States by spending hundreds of billions of dollars on foreign aid at a time when tens of millions of Americans are struggling financially as a result of the COVID lock-downs, thereby committing gross and disgusting acts of malfeasance in the expenditure of public funds while simultaneously violating the Constitution by spending public money for purposes which the Constitution does not authorize; and

Whereas, the ratio of members of the House of Representatives (435) to the number of people represented by each member of the House on average (760,443) is in no way a genuinely representative government, because one Congressman cannot possibly interact with, let alone know and accurately represent, 760,443 constituents; and

Whereas, the Congress refused to repeal or amend Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act of 1996, thereby enabling companies like Google, Facebook, and Twitter to exercise massive amounts of influence over elections by controlling what information people are able to see and what opinions they are allowed to express; and

Whereas, the Federal government has violated the 4th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution by spying on the American people without warrants and has done so with impunity for nearly two decades; and

Whereas, it has become increasingly clear that the United States government, in all of its branches and departments, in no way represents the will of the People of the State of Tennessee, and is totally heedless of the desires, wants, and wishes of the People of the State of Tennessee, and is wholly and completely unaccountable for its actions and their effects on the People of the State of Tennessee, and in no way acts for the good and well-being of the People of the State of Tennessee, and habitually violates the rights and liberties of the People of the State of Tennessee; and

Whereas, these tyrannical and irresponsible policies are disastrous and detrimental not only to us, but also to our children and to our descendants for multiple generations, and all attempts by us to restrain, curtail, or undo them have been thwarted, defied, or ignored; and

Whereas, all just governments derive their rightful power and authority from the consent of the governed, and when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.

Therefore, we the undersigned citizens of the State of Tennessee, trusting in the ever-kind protection and providence of Almighty God, do hereby petition the Legislature to pass and the Governor to sign, a Resolution calling a Convention of popularly-elected representatives from each county in this State to vote on whether or not this State will remain in the Union. We the undersigned do also petition the Legislature to ensure the aforementioned Convention shall be required to meet and to vote no later than June 8th 2021.  We the undersigned also declare and affirm our desire that the State of Tennessee shall declare her independence from the Union, and act to secure her independence with all deliberate speed.
