We, the undersigned, are asking you to rescind the current Standards of Offender Supervision for Probation and Parole implemented in August 2014.

The Issue

Support for this petition will stop the current new standards which allow offenders on Probation and Parole to CALL IN on an automated telephone system to check in, instead of seeing a Probation or Parole Officer. This includes minimum, medium, and maximum (which includes first degree murder) offenders. The current standards are not working and offenders on Probation and Parole are not being properly supervised. This is putting not only the victims of crime, but also the general population of Tennessee at risk.
