I think the bus pass for veterans should be extended all over the uk not just in Scotland and Wales. People claiming an Armed Forces War pension and who are entitled to compensation  under the pension acts should have free travel on buses as well as an entitlement to a rail card. 

Most people who would claim this entitlement would be physically disabled, however this also gives people with PTSD and other mental health problems the opportunity to get out more with their conditions. 

This would improve quality of life as well as help with family and friends involvement which is extremely important with any mental health condition. 

This extension to the rest of the United Kingdom’s Veterans and possibly serving Armed forces personnel is a very important battle that isn’t being faced as yet.

When leaving the forces with injuries seen and unseen interaction and investment in our surroundings is a extremely important experience, allowing people more support within the community and helping people who may not be able to work to have a more vibrant relationship with the world.

So please support our Armed Forces Veterans and get them back into the community with this petition allowing them more time and freedom outside.
