Every year thousands of animals all over the world suffer distress from days of loud banging fireworks for human pleasure . This last week I have seen all over Facebook , people asking for advice on how to calm their pets from the distress of banging fireworks. A lady posted that her 3 birds died from the shock . I find this heartbreaking and unnecessary torture for all animals.I understand people want to enjoy bonfire night with colourful displays but loud banging rockets are not pleasurable and there’s nothing to see . They just cause harm and distress to poor animals. This doesn’t just happen on bonfire night though. It starts a few weeks before and continues weeks afterwards. Before my dog passed away he was terrified of them and would hide under the table trembling. If we were at work he would also toilet in the house in panic, so much so I’d have to book that day off work. Stopping these bangers would mean a lot to many animals and owners and would be special to me if it could be in memory of my dog Jack.
