Government Servants are responsible for helping develop a healthy and responsible society and not just take home pay cheques for hours logged-in at the office.
This is however, only possible if the person in question has a sound value system in place.
A pre-requisite in any ethical set of values is respect for their spouse.
A person who derives pleasure or release from abusing their spouse in any form or manner - physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually or any other way cannot be a responsible citizen.
And, we need responsible citizens to serve in public offices.
Hence, this petition.
