Many of the vehicles bought under the scrappage scheme are still sat on unused airfields abandoned. In this state they are of no use to anyone. I propose that the cars are auctioned off to the public, or at least used for parts. The price of steel has recently dropped dramatically and therefore it seems pointless to waste these iconic cars for this purpose. Many of these cars are a huge part of British motoring history, cars such as Minis, Triumphs, Rovers and Jaguars amongst many others are iconic cars and shouldn't be scrapped for a pittance. If this cannot be achieved then we need to at least ensure this doesn't happen again. I believe if we acquire enough support we may be able to make a difference. Let's save those classics! Again!

Or even open the site up to the public to help remove some of these still drivable cars for a fee, or to assist with stripping down some for parts to keep others running.

Would be a great shame to let most of these go to waste, continuing to rot and wasting what could be used as an airfield once again! Let's be a part of something special, get those signatures on here to make the UK great again!!
