Prioritisation of front line nhs staff for covid vaccination

Prioritisation of front line nhs staff for covid vaccination
The Issue
Nhs front line staff must be prioritised for the covid vaccine.
The NHS is literally running out of staff. We need sufficient staff to cope with the worsening pressures.
Front line staff can’t choose to isolate, or not see patients and are at risk of catching covid 19
But also they risk passing it on to their patients if they get it.
Some staff are lucky to work in a hospital which is a distribution center and get the vaccine. But it is not universal and it’s a postcode lottery
We must reprioritise the planned vaccination programme and so nhs front line staff (especially those working in areas with the new strain) get it first above others such as the over 80s.
This is to protect the health of the nation and not a “perk” of working for the nhs.
