Not long ago, I realised just how dangerous Parrs Wood Road is. I live nearby and constantly hear screeches of car tires motoring up the road. Especially in the evening. One thing is for certain, this road is a haven for manic drivers as it has not got any speed bumps or traffic lights.

Ladybarn Park, primary and doctors are all off Parrs Wood road. This means that families, children and elderly members of the public often cross over Parrs Wood.

Not far from the doctors and Ladybarn primary, sometimes a lollipop man/woman stops the traffic so as to make a safer place for school children to cross. However, I have found that this service is not always frequent and is not 24/7 (although I do appreciate this hard work immensely!)

Without a doubt, we need a crossing desperately.

I am campaigning to get two crossings/traffic lights; one on the four-way cross-road at the corner of Ladybarn (end of Parsonage) and another placed at the end of Briarfield closest to Parrs Wood Road (doctos and school).

I believe that we would all benefit hugely from having safer places to cross near the park, doctors and school. Please do not donate any money, all we need is your signature! 

Together we can make a change and (hopefully!) save lives. ;-)
