We all have heard the so-called facts that there are just over 17,000 Venezuelans in Trinidad and Tobago residing in T & T. But this number reflects just those who are registered ONLY! In every nook and cranny VENES can be seen, Pricesmart, Grocery, Pharmacy, Toilet, there is NO place you can visit and NOT see one or a family. They are coming in through our porous borders and Citizens have been highlighting this for months! Pirogue operators charge between 500 - 750 per person, one way to Trinidad and they earn sometimes as much as 15,000 USD per day.  They are coming in UNTESTED and take up occupancy in crowded homes and rooms, along with them are items for trade, some illegal and some otherwise, essentially they are putting an entire Country at risk. 

Why are Pirogue Operators not Charged and their boats seized? Why have the army not set up camp on our borders? Why is Immigration asleep at this critical time? Venezuela's Healthcare system has fallen flat so testing is MINIMAL. We do not know if at present there are 100,000 cases or 1 million cases.. 

Enough is Enough, we cannot allow this to continue, the Government MUST intervene immediately to end this Illegal activity.. It is only a matter of time before it explodes, by then it will be too late!!!
