Seriously Philhealth???

Definition of Terms - All Filipinos Working Abroad:
1- Landbased OFWs
2- Seafarers & other sea-based workers
3- Filipinos with dual-citizenship
4- Filipinos living abroad �‍♀️
5- Overseas Filipinos in distress (To the author of this- do you at least know the meaning of this word distress??? - Me problema na nga ang tao isasama nyo pa talaga?)
6- Other overseas Filipinos not previously classified elsewhere (In short walang lusot?)

Philhealth had published a Circular 2020-0014 Premium contribution and collection of Overseas Filipino members. It is stated in the memo that All Overseas Filipinos - Migrants Workers (OFW's), Filipino nationals abroad, will be mandated and obligated to pay a premium which tantamounts to 3% (higher on succeeding years) of their salaries per month and if whomever have missed payments will have a compounded interest and penalty for missing payment. I believe that we Filipinos abroad/OFW’s and our dependents have been already struggling amidst this Pandemic and yet Philhealth had issued a very unfair memo regarding premium payments. I believe that this is already too much of them to ask for an interest rate and a penalty which is very unfair and inhumane for those who travel away from their families to work. It is very unfortunate that they call OFWs modern heroes and yet they penalize us with such directives. We urge the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (Philhealth) to reverse this directive as this is unfair and an abuse to our migrant workers.
