In the past 13 months the personal care industry has taken a huge hit due to the Covid 19 Lockdowns set in place by the Ontario Government. As a Salon Owner and Hairstylist, I want answers and changes to be made for not only our industry but all personal care service providers.

Salons, Esthetics, Tattoo Shops and Gyms have been some of the small businesses who have been hit the hardest through this pandemic. Yet we are the ones with the strictest Public Health Policies not only during Covid but pre Covid as well. We have done everything that has been asked of us over the past 13 months and yet somehow our industries are still deemed to be non essential.

It is hard to grasp and the fact that going shopping for non essential goods at a mall or other big box stores with 100+ others is perfectly fine. But you cannot come into a personal care business where we contact trace, sanitize EVERYTHING between each guest, we have limited guests at a time and wear proper PPE all day. There is nothing more we can do to make our environment safe for our guests as well as ourselves!

We have been forced into a third Lockdown for no good reason. Our industry is suffering.Our lively hood has been withheld from us for a third time! We are not owned and operated by big corporations that can withstand a big hit. We are small locally owned and operated businesses that work hard to support our community and the communities around us! 

Please Stand Up With Us. Help End the Lockdown for our industries !
