The central government as part of its disinvestment policy, is planning to sell Vizag Steel Plant. Thousands of acres of land was given by many people for the steel plant. The government had promised to give employment to all those families in the steel plant but that has been day dream for many of those families who had given their lands. 

Unlike other Public Sector steel plants, the Vizag steel was not given own mines because of that it has to buy ore at a much higher price than the other steel plants. Instead of resolving that issue to help it out, the government has chosen to sell the steel plant itself. 

Several thousands of families are making a living on the vizag steel with direct employment and several lakhs of families depending on it indirectly.

We need to let the Government of India know that this is not an acceptable solution for the steel plant issue. Please do sign this petition so that the government will know what the public thinks and what they want from a responsible government.
