While Democracy gives people the Right to dissent and protest, often people go overboard with the same.
It has been often seen that people resort to vandalism and purposeful destruction of public property (eg. torching public transport buses, damaging and torching of trains, damaging public property at railway stations etc.) just to create a spectacle and make headlines. 
Nobody has the right to wilfully and blatantly destroy public property with impunity.

Such actions should be made a non bailable offence with imprisonment of upto 1yr and the losses to be completely recovered by the miscreants.
