Ramayan is not just an invaluable piece of art, it is a lesson in art, philosophy, value, moral education, epistemology and what not and it has been so beautifully and frugally depicted on visual media that could never be replicated. The Best part of the serial in my view is when Sri Ramanand Sagar comes on the screen as a Sutradhar dressed as Goswami Tulsi Das. Like all other epics based on the original Ramayan of Maharshi Valmiki, this serial is an epic.
