Currently, Goa is struggling to contain the spread of the novel Corona virus as it has spread to each and every taluka of Goa infecting more than 3484 people and causing 21 fatalities.

The Government of Goa had already enforced a lockdown to keep people at a distance from eachother along with urging them to maintain hygiene and practice proper hand washing. However, not enough focus is being given on stopping people from spitting in open or in public places.

General stores and Paan shops are allowed to sell Paan Masala, Ghutka, and other chewable Tobacco products openly which results not only to spoil the beauty of Goa but also spitting on public places can cause the spread of COVID-19 as the saliva of an infected person can carry the virus for more than 24 hours.

I request, The Government of Goa to ban Paan Masala, Ghutka, and all forms of chewable Tobacco in Goa.
