The Issue

Between 1909 and 1913, when Germany used to colonize Tanzania, approximately 250 tons of Brachiosaurus brancai bones were recovered from more than 100 sites in Tendaguru in the southern province of then German East Africa (present-day Tanzania) and were taken Germany's Berlin Museum.

For years, the government of Germany has been making a lot of revenue from tourists who have been going to see remains of this giant creature.

Germany has been cashing on this, which was supposed to be a source of revenue for Tanzania. We demand that Tanzania is compensated; be paid all the money Germany has made from this animal for years; and that the dinosaur be sent back to Tanzania, to attract tourist to where the animal rightully belongs (Tanzania).

#BringBackOurDinosaur

We have started this campaign, bringing together the people of Africa and all those who have African roots to stand together with Tanzania and help the Tanzania's dinosaur be sent back home (Tanzania).

A lot have been stolen from Africa. It's time to recover all those we can. This dinosaur is one of those we are determined to recover. #BringBackOurDinosaur.

We advise the Germany government to act wisely and accept these demands; and therefore send back the dinosaur to Tanzania, and pay Tanzania all the money they have made from the dinosaur.
