It is well known on the Island of how many uncared-for, neglected, abandoned and living on the streets dogs are on the island. Where ever you go, there is not just one, but several dogs in groups surviving each and every day on the streets. Some of these dogs are dangerous. They bark and even try to bite by-passers. People abandoning their dogs, and leaving them om the streets without food or water. Dogs living in cages, without being able to walk or run. Dogs tied up all day on the leash in the hot sun. It has become something normal. 

There is only 1 animal asylum on the whole Island, which runs on help from the government and mostly from donations. There are other animal organization which run solely on donations. And all have reached their capacities. They are over saturated with animals, mostly dogs.  

This cannot continue! The government of Curacao has knowledge of this problem, yet ignores it. It is time for the government of Curacao to take hands on this matter and take action. Strong measures need to be taken, which enforce new laws for the protection of animals and of the community.
