Put the charter of rights and freedoms back on the Canadian government website.

The Issue

I would very much like to believe that the removal of the charter of rights and freedoms from the government of Canada of website is innocent or the result of some computer glitch but I believe that to do so in the midst of a time when focusing on human rights may create a barrier between the government and passing COVID-19 restrictions that may infringe on or outright violate the rights of Canadian citizens would be naive. Help me remind the Canadian government that the commitment to human rights must be ongoing and not only when politically expedient. A government not bound by the laws made by those it rules is not a government of the people, but of and for itself. To unshackle any government from its commitment to the people is to willingly invite them to become an authoritarian police state.

On the official Canadian government website, if you click on "treaties, laws and regulations" to get to this page, https://www.canada.ca/en/government/system/laws.html you can then click on the link that should take you to the charter of rights and freedoms web page but instead gives you this instead: http://www.parl.gc.ca/ErrorPage/Default.aspx?Url=http%3a%2f%2fwww.parl.gc.ca%2fabout%2fparliament%2feducation%2fourcountryourparliament%2fhtml_booklet%2fcanadian-charter-rights-and-freedoms-e.html&UrlReferrer=&StatusCode=404&Encoding=ISO-8859-1
