Covid 19 has changed life as we know it. The government has promised to launch rescue packages but its still a mystery when this will kick in. This leaves a lot employed and self employed people with financial issues immediately.

The government should urgently intervene and stop council tax payments on an urgent basis and also the utility bills should not need paying over the next few months till life gets back to normal for most of us. Any hikes for the council tax and other utility bills should be ceased for at least 5 years as business is not going to go back to normal  straight away. 

T.V licence fees has already been brought up as unnecessary by majority of the country, none of the other countries have to pay this. Stop it for now and then abolish it completely. There are so many other cheaper platforms for entertainment now. If the government wants to keep it going then they have to pay for it themselves for ever. Its an expense which has been imposed on us when most of us do not want it. 

This discount should be done with the view of not recovering them back  from the customers as some of us will not be financially stable for months possibly years to come. The  respective companies and the local councils should be reimbursed directly through the government. 

This needs to be done before the 31-3-2020 as that is when the reality will kick in for most of the country and all of us will have payments coming out soon after that.
