this petition is for the grade 10 and up and it is to show that we believe that when we make our subject selections we should have the right to drop Life Orientation(LO) because while Life Orientation is a useful subject it is very repetitive and by the time you are in grade 10 you would have learnt about "Drugs and Alcohol" twice and "peer pressure" three times and while these are definitely important topics they come with many projects and a lot of work and if you already know the topic / have learnt it already you should not be forced to do all the work AGAIN.

many campaigns have been started about this but they mostly fail for 2 reasons
1) they are not spread well / use a bad platform for what they are trying to accomplish

2) they are unreasonable and are too drastic

with this petition we are voting for the right to "drop" Life Orientation when choosing our subjects. while this is aimed for teachers and school officials we need this to get to government officials to make this a strong useful petition. if we truly want this to succeed it needs to be spread around all of social media and beyond, but if we can do that then there is a REAL possibility that Life Orientation will no longer be compulsory and the young adults of the world with have the power of choice.
