Every year and already this year, and its only March 2021, horses have died for human entertainment. They are put through horrendous stress and torment, forced to run as fast as possible for for fear of being whipped like crazy by the jockey, if they can't sustain their pace. I was unfortunate enought to turn on the TV the other day and the racing was on. I watched the race in horror as the horses skin wobbled and vibrated with every whip, repeatedly in the same spot. If that horse could talk I'm sure it would have been begging for it to stop. They are push to the very edge of there capabilities, with no thought of their well-being, just treated like cash cows. Once they are no use to the owner or jockey many are just sent to slaughter. They don't even get to experience some sort of happy retirement, as compensation for being forced into a life of racing. We really need to start looking at horse racing and asking are we really taking the horses well being into consideration when we use whips and stupidly high jumps. Myself and many people I have spoke to share the same option, that this form of human entertainment should be banned. If you to are of the same mind then please sign the petition.
