The beautiful Rural community of Kempsey has had enough. From the regular vandalism of the town toilets, riverside park, shops etc regular break ins, car thefts, people not feeling safe anymore walking down the street in the middle of the day.  recently at our local rural show up to 15 people were fighting smashing things up. Carnival rides damaged. People getting injured right in the middle of a crowd full of family’s. We should feel safe taking our kids out. 

In my experience Kempsey has a very giving community. Many people happy to give their time up to help their neighbours. Volunteers running clubs fundraisers. Putting our local events together like the show, Markets, and sporting events these should all be able to go ahead without the worry of needing a large amount of security. 

now is the time for change we need funding for council to make more crime prevention measures. As well as funding for a bigger police presence. Something has to change. Please sign the petition and share
