Please help us ban the use of loud fireworks for the sake of our animals health. The fireworks get louder and louder each year and put our animals at great risk of having severe health problems such as anxiety, epilepsy, heart attacks and even death. Fireworks can be enjoyed silently and I have noticed that some supermarkets have silent fireworks for sale which made me think why aren't loud fireworks banned? I know far too much about this subject as my dog unfortunately suffers severe anxiety through loud nosies and we have nearly lost her on two occasions due to fireworks. The first time she ran away on new years eve and the second a severe anxiety attack left her fitting and is now diagnosed with epilepsy brought on through stress! All because of fireworks! It is cruel and inhumane for us to put animals at this much risk for a few seconds of the 'wow' factor when that can be achieved just as much with a silent but a bright and beautiful display. I feel that in a generation where, as humans we have acknowledged mental health as am extremely important we need to now consider mental health within our animals and stop the unnecessary trauma that as humans we selfishly inflict on them. I am writing for the government to please consider the BAN of noisy fireworks altogether.
