In light of the largest puppy farm in Victoria finally being closed down, it may be timely to ride on those coat tales to finally appeal to Westfield to disallow pet shops to be in their centres.  This means that less demand for animals from puppy farms will hopefully lessen the existence of these cruel and heartless dog and cat breeding horrors.  Also, keeping these puppies and kittens in pet shops caged relentlessly, poked and prodded, locked up in the dark, not being properly cared for and no scrutiny as to who buys them is just wrong.  Westfield is an International organisation and I would like it to be policy that Westfield sets the tone by banning pet shops.

It's hoped that this change will catch on with other organisations, towards eliminating the need for puppy (and kitten) farming overall, lessening cruelty to animals in the community and hopefully eventually Australia and world wide.
