"Pen and paper for poor students: Same vision for better education for poor children"

"Pen and paper for poor students: Same vision for better education for poor children"
The Issue
It is one of the human rights imposed by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights that every individual should acquire educational knowledge and skills to be used in for one’s future life. Education should be embraced and acquired by every individual. As most prominent persons would say that education is the best and vital tool that can change the whole world. However, despite of this we cannot deny the fact that many unprivileged children still do not go to school for lack of financial support and financial stability from the family. I firmly stand to solve and eradicate this kind of problem in the whole country.
In fact, in our country, this is happening to our country. Based on the 2017 Annual Poverty Indicators Survey (APIS), about nine percent of the estimated 39.2 million Filipinos aged 6 to 24 years old were out-of-school children and youth (OSCY). OSCY refers to family members 6 to 14 years old who are not attending formal school; and family members 15 to 24 years old who are currently out of school, not gainfully employed, and have not finished college or post-secondary course. Particularly, these students who our out of school suffer this because of common reason: it is lack of money, lack of financial stability and support for the family. How can we then change the world if these are happening always? Governments and personnel of Department of Education can change this problem into a new reality. Allocating a budget for supplies especially school supplies for the poor children is one of them. These two should combine forces to make this into a new reality. Implementing laws and programs for this problem could be a better help. This is very helpful because education is one of the important tools in our society. All children should acquire educational knowledge and skills for her/his future life. I make this petition because I, myself witness this problem in the society and this needs to be eliminated and eradicated to have an educated individual in whole country. Education turns the dreams of children into a reality and for the future and stable life in the future.
Let us then have the same vision to lend a hand for the poor students for a better education for this is our rights: the right to be educated. Let us form forces together with the assigned agencies and organizations to stop and eradicate this problem.
