Many students staying in hostels and paying guest (PG) accommodations are stressed over landlords forcing them to pay full rent for April, May and June. 

The house owners are asking tenants to pay full rent without considering the fact that some of them are not getting their salaries and have to cope up with other expenses as well.

I went home for three months, the owner is asking me to pay the rent even for the time I was not staying there. I have several other friends and colleagues who can't afford to pay even though they are not staying in PG since the lockdown started, but are asked to pay the rent. 

The landlords are not even considering to give concession or reduce rent for the time being, when we are suffering from crisis.

The financial impact of lockdown restriction on their families has been huge whose parents are facing salary cuts and/or are not receiving salaries, now facing more difficulties to manage their living expenses. Those parents still have to pay their children's room rent.

Even though the PG/Hostel premises have not been occupied since march, students are asked to pay full rent. I couldn't keep quiet anymore so I started this petition.

I appeal to each and every citizen of India to join me in getting justice for all those who are affected by the lockdown by signing this petition.
