We live in the small rural community of Plymouth, Ca. that neither wants nor can support the invasion of a large casino in our home town. As well as the surrounding area. The impact of the size of a casino they are proposing will be a travisty and the ruination of our community as well as other small towns in the area. There is already a casino in our county that just laid off close to 10% of their workers. There is another casino that is in the works for the Buena Vista area near Ione. Amador County does not need three casino's. The Mi Wuk Indian tribe that is trying to place this casino disbanded in the 70's and sold all of their rights for any future benifits as a tribe. They were a landless tribe with few members. Now with the help of big money from a self serving gaming industry and attorneys they are a tribe of 750. Recently the land they purchased for the casino was entered into trust, which means they will have a reservation here. We the under signed people find this to be underhanded and a certain path to destruction for our city, our schools, our roads, our water and our lives as we know it. Please do not allow afew to destroy our beloved home!
