In Wisconsin, we have laws that force people to have a front license plate on their car. The problem is that certain vehicles don't have factory front mounts, and the laws force them to pay additional money to buy a front mount, or they force them to ruin the front of their car by bolting one to the bumper. There are certain vehicles that are being driven everyday without front plates, and they go unbothered because of the vehicle itself... (I.e. corvettes). But for the people who can not afford such vehicles (I.e. Hondas, Acuras, Mazdas, etc.), they are singled out for not having front plates, and receive 10-day fix it tickets, or even immediate citations. With the fact that motorcycles don't require a front license plate, why should cars be any different? I was pulled over for not having a front license plate on my Honda Accord. My car is not by any means radically modified in any way, if you were wondering. I was given a 10-day fix-it ticket, and even though I had my front plate up on my dash, I was told it has to be on the front of my car. I was forced to drill holes and bolt the front plate to my car. Now ofcourse, car enthusiasts may see the front plate as something good, or even an alternative plate such as a European plate on the front of their car to look good. I'm not saying outlaw them. I'm saying don't make it a requirement to have one.
