I want us to be able to carry around sheathed swords in public again. 

It is legal for people to conceal carry firearms, however a sword above five inches is illegal. If we could carry around swords not only would we look much cooler and more awesome, we would also be able to hit an opponent/attacker from much further away than with just a five inch blade. You could just swing your arm around and around and keep hitting him (or her or them). 

I think this would not only solve the gun problem in America, but would also create an entirely new market which would help the economy. Everyone would be buying swords left and right, and we could maybe have duels again instead of school shootings or gang violence. 

With swords, we could restore honor back to America, and we could have a lot of fun. We should also be able to carry around razor blade boomerangs and ninja stars, but for now I will just say swords and make petitions for those things later if I feel like it. 

Swords and knives should not be lumped into the same category. Tell me, if you saw someone with a knife vs. someone with a sword, who would you be more scared of? I know you all would say sword. This also applies to axes, maces, flails, nunchucks, beating sticks, clubs, and other two-handed weapons. 

If we legalized swords, and most citizens carried, then we would be able to challenge to a consensual duel to settle disputes, that would lessen the amount of people who are being killed without their consent. Imagine you see two guys in a bar fighting with each other, and instead of one beating the other to death, they pull out their blades and have an honorable duel between two men. This is the America I want to live in. 

I hope you will read this and consider my reasoning and see that this is the best option for our country today.
