Many nurses and different staffing agency's would like Michigan to become a compact state. This means as a compact state Nurses will have the ability to travel to different states that are compacted. Right now there are 5 states that are not compacted. If this was a compact state nurses would not have to apply in different states that they want to work in. Many states have different requirements and fees. This process takes sometime to receive a license in that state even obtaining a temporary license.
