Dear neighbors, Members of Riviera Isles Blasting Committee and board members of other HOAs from neighboring communities of West Miramar and North Miami Dade met on September 19th with Mayor Wayne Messam, State Representative Manny Diaz, State Representative Shevrin Jones and Vice Mayor Barbara Sharief to discuss strategies about the blasting problem. All the elected officials present at the meeting expressed their commitment. Broward County Vice Mayor Barbara Sharief promised to put the item on the agenda for the next Commission meeting. Today she fulfilled that promise. The Blasting issue will be discussed next Tuesday September 27 in front of all the commissioners. Vice Mayor Sharief will present a resolution and WE NEED to be there to support her. Everybody will have the opportunity to talk for three minutes. If they pass this resolution, we will have the support of Broward County as a whole, which is what we need in order to win this battle at the state level. Now more than ever, we need your support.
