Big victory yesterday at the Broward County Commission Meeting! Vice Mayor Barbara Sharief presented the following resolution, which was approved UNANIMOUSLY by all the Commissioners: "Motion to direct the Office of the County Attorney to take immediate appropriate legal action to halt or reduce blasting in Northwest Miami-Dade County, as well as its effects in Broward County, until proper blasting levels are pursued that will avoid property damage and provide for an increase inthe quality of life of Broward County residents." Having the support of the County takes us even closer to our final goal of getting the blasting limits reduced to levels that are imperceptible to the population. Thank you to the residents who attended the meeting. We hope to see more people during the next City and County commission meetings where both attorneys will be providing their findings and will propose a course of action.
