This petition is written to request my son Glenn Michael Pope be granted a Commutation of Sentence. Like all of us, Glenn has made some regrettable mistakes and it has cost him years of his life being incarcerated. He is a good man with a good heart who made a mistake and is now ultimately paying for his actions.

Glenn by the Grace of God, has made major changes in his life and is not the same man he was when he began his sentence 11 years ago. His sister's, nieces, nephews and myself, his mother, need him home where he will begin a new and better chapter in his life.

Glenn's goals and motivation is to give back to society by counseling young people not to make the same mistakes he made. Since his incarceration he has been a model prisoner and made good use of the time in continuing his education and self rehabilitation. He has achieved many awards and certificates to prove his hard work and dedication. I have listed just a few examples of Certificates Glenn has earned:

Glenn has served a significant period of time behind bars for his actions and justice has been served.  There is no risk to the public if he were to be released and everything to suggest that he would successfully reintegrate into society.  He has a loving family who support him wholeheartedly.

With speaking to Glenn often, I know in my heart he is a changed individual who just wants another opportunity to make things right in his life.  We know he can become a great asset to society. We believe once released, he would have tunnel vision to a bright future being focused on bettering his life for himself and his family.
