Because BeiBei Shuai needs help, not jail.

BeiBei Shuai is a mentally ill Chinese immigrant who has been jailed since April in Indiana after she tried to commit suicide. Her crime? She was pregnant at the time of her suicide attempt, and her fetus died. Indiana prosecutors have charged her with "feticide"-- a murder charge. She has been held without bail ever since.

There was another hearing about bail for her yesterday, and the judge in the case still hasn't made a decision. Encourage the Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller and Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels to have BeiBei Shuai released, so she can get the help she desperately needs.

It is a bad precedent to jail a woman for self abortion because she attempted suicide and miscarried her fetus. That is medieval justice. Release BeiBei Shuai now!
