Bring Back Drifting to Pheasant Wood Circuit!

Bring Back Drifting to Pheasant Wood Circuit!

The Issue

With the recent suspension of drifting at Pheasant Wood Circuit, NSW, NOW is the time to get together in the Keep it Reet, Revolution Motorsport, National, and International drifting community and join forces to GET DRIFTING BACK AT PHEASANT WOOD circuit.

This track enables our community to part take in the sport we are so passionate about legally. Pheasant Wood Circuit is by far the most prestige track in Australia and it is an absolute privilege to be able to drift as well as be supported by Steve, Cameron and Scott (and their team of course). Keep it Reet is very passionate in promoting keeping drifting on the track and off the streets and so to is Pheasant Wood Circuit.

Not only does this world-renowned track bring so much enjoyment to the drifting community but it also brings 10’s of millions of dollars into the broader community of Goulburn on an annual basis.  From Airbnb’s, bed and breakfasts, Stayz, motels, hotels, cafes, pubs, eateries and so much more- it’d be selfish not to dowse the community with these opportunities.

This boost in Goulburn and surrounding areas from our recent Covid restricted event alone brought 100 drivers spending on average a minimum of $3000, and 700 spectators spending a minimum of $1000 locally on food and accommodation. This totals a staggering $1million injected into the local community at a spectator restricted event. This number as a minimum, can be multiplied by the 12+ events held a year. Additionally, once restrictions are lifted there is potential for this figure to increase to $30million per annum. What a disadvantage the greater community of Goulburn will lose out on due to cancelling one of the fastest growing motorsports in Australia.

Personally, we have travelled parts of the world to drive multiple drift circuits and most noted- Ebisu Japan, the home of drift. This track holds 8 drifting circuits from beginners to pro level and in our opinion, Pheasant Wood circuit surpasses them. Pheasant Wood circuit has the potential to hold one of the biggest Pro level drift competitions the world has seen. It has the ultimate vantage points to watch corners as a spectator and the ability to house the potential of 5,000+ spectators and rival some of the biggest events held in Australia and even the World.

Pheasant Wood Circuit brings a safe and controlled environment for drifting activities as well as a family fun day out for local and not so local part takers. No drifting on this track will force people back on the streets, consequently having a vast negative impact on the sport. Hopefully with all of your support the Goulburn council will see how important this venue is to our community.

By signing this petition, you will be supporting drifting at Pheasant Wood Circuit.
