Got Debited For a loan I didn’t apply for

Got Debited For a loan I didn’t apply for
The Issue
My name is Adekanye Ayodeji Israel. A student of Obafemi Awolowo University.
On a Saturday morning April
13, 2024 at exactly 10:36am I was debited a sum of N23,824.55 naira for an Online payment from XCROSSCASH. I immediately contacted my Bank (First Bank) customer care service, and directed to an agent who explained that my bank account number was used to apply for a loan which caused the debit from my account. I asked what could be done because I didn’t apply for a loan and didn’t receive any email or sms message as regards the loan application.
I was asked to contact the loan app (XCROSSCASH). I sent a mail to them as regards the situation and also a WhatsApp message with no reply. I went forward to tweet this on the X app tagging them to refund my money in full a sum of twenty-three thousand eight hundred and twenty four Naira fifty five kobo (N23,824.55). Still no reply from them.
The money was supposed to be used to complete the payment of my school fees. I’m a student of Obafemi Awolowo University currently in 200 level second semester. Without paying my school fees for this semester I won’t be able to register courses for this semester.
I’m writing this petition to the Nigerian government, Central Bank of Nigeria First Bank of Nigeria, Economic, Financial Crime Commission and Nigeria Financial Intelligence Unit to report a fraudulent transaction with my bank account.
