Hey, everyone! We're now at over 2,800 supporters. As this petition is slowly making its way to my personal goal of over 3,000 supporters, I want to make an update informing signers of the progressing situation. Please continue to share this petition in support with as many fans as possible. The more signatures we get, the more of a demand we'll make. Because this petition has significantly slowed down, I ask that you please share it in your group chats or simply with 10 or more people. It's only been 6 days since the NFT announcement, we can't give up! You all have my thanks!

Gorillaz has continued to ignore this petition. Instead of addressing their fan's valid criticisms on their decision to make NFTs which has even been reported on in online articles, their focus has been on making marketing posts. I ask their marketing team, Eleven Mgmt, this question - how is this any good way to treat the fan base? By ignoring us you're also choosing to ignore the detrimental effects NFTs have on the environment, as well as the environmentalist messages Gorillaz have made in their music. Please make an official statement on pulling out of NFT production with Superplastic.

If you would like to show further support after signing, please send this pre-written message to Superplastic CEO Paul Budnitz and to Gorillaz management team Eleven Mgmt demanding them to stop production of NFTs. Persistence is key! You can find more about this in one of my previous updates

Once again like stated in previous updates, this petition won't close until a statement is released agreeing to stop production of NFTs and that the management team of Gorillaz and their label Warner Music Group will make marketing decisions in the future with the band's Earth conscious values in mind.

My message to Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett still stands: Plastic Beach and the meaning made in your art and music means so much to fans all over the world. So many are disappointed by this announcement. I'm hoping this petition makes its way to you and shows you that Gorillaz fans want better for our planet just as much as you do!

Thank you for reading!
